We had laundromats in Chicago area for years and always had Speed Queen products. After purchasing a home recently that came with Whirlpool washer and dryer, I was forced to give them away and buy Speed Queen. Love the agitator and being able to stop wash while in progress, plus clothes did not come out twisted up.

Love the no lock lid, machine doesn't make a sound, hardly tell it's running. Haven't tried all the cycles yet but if they all work like the one I use, that's great. I would and have recommended this machine to other people.

I needed a new washing machine and this one has a little bit smaller dimensions than some of the monsters in the big box stores. I have it upstairs and the closet space where it went is very limited. I like the 3 year warranty and the reviews that say these last longer than other washers and dryers.

This washer is very solid and heavy. I expect it will last a long time. Handles heavy loads with ease. Never goes out of balance. Only problem I have is on heavy duty the spin water drains so fast my pipes cant handle it. Had them checked and all clear. I do have a lot of bends and turns in pipes and suspect the water gets backed up in there. I have been using it on perma press setting because the water does not drain as fast. Works for me.

I bought an LG washer/dryer set about 3 years ago, after reading reviews. I absolutely hated the washer, which quit working properly after 1 year. Took forever to wash a load and clothes often didn't look clean. I missed the agitator, non locking lid and a full tub of water. I am 100% satisfied with Speed Queen. Feels solid and like it will last for years.

I love my speed queen washer. My new speed queen washer does an amazing job, of getting my cloths clean, and another perk is she is so fast. So much better than "that lemon" Maytag, which "was slow as molasses in January", and did a crummy job of getting my cloths clean. this is amazing machine, and well worth, every penny spent to get one.

I love my Speedqueen! Our clothes are finally getting clean and smelling clean. I love that it will fill the wash bin and cover your laundry plus the agitator moves the clothes around in the water to get them really clean!

My greatest purchase of a new washer that I can remember. I loved the "deep" stainless steel tub, and the amount of clothes that you can clean is awesome. and the water level? what water level control. The machine senses the amount of water to use and it fills automatically. I love this machine.

The Speed Queen is fast, thorough, and makes doing the laundry a much less time-consuming job! I love being able to select "Deep Fill" and being able to check the soap suds during the wash cycle. I also love that it is a domestically produced machine made with a steel drum and metal parts!

So far, we have enjoyed the new machine. I was shocked by the weight of it-several times the weight of our old Kenmore, so we were not prepared for the effort and personnel it took to get it off the truck, and in the house. That said, I have enjoyed the speed of the wash, and the vintage feel of the knobs, the wash options, and the deep agitator basin.
My biggest irritation with the purchase has been the fact that a Brandsource rebate was a large part of the advertisement for the machine, and made a difference in our decision to purchase it. Let's face it-a Speed Queen is approximately 2-3 times more expensive than a regular washing machine from a hardware chain store. After filing the rebate, we received an email letting us know that it did NOT, in fact, apply to our purchase, regardless of the flyer that came with the machine. $100-$200 in the grand scheme of a large purchase is not that important, however, honesty in advertising, is.

The Speed Queen Washer replaces my 42-year-old Maytag Washer. It has a large tub, an agitator, and the controls are convenient. And best of all - it has the fastest spin speed of all washers on the market so the clothes come out so much "drier" than they did in my old Maytag washer which makes for less time in my Speed Queen Dryer, saving time and energy costs!

We have had a lot of top lop loads and front loads over the years , and i can tell you that wife and i are TRULY HAPPY WITH THIS MACHINE .It takes NO TOME to complete the wash ( and the cloths are really clean 0) plus you dont have to use and much detergent . The machine to us sound really normal ,you get about 6 -7 ft and its quiet. I wish we have bought sooner and stopped the procrastinating to buy one . YOU REALLY GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR .So spend a little more and get what you pay for QUALITY AND CRAFTSMANSHIP AND A GREAT WARRANTY that you don't have to add .

Consumer Reports rated Speed Queen low because it wasn't so water conserving or electronically managed as LG, Samsung, etc. But read the reviews of CR higher rated washers and you'll find that the low water economy models don't wash well, break sooner, carry only a 1 year warranty. Yes, Speed Queen is about 40% more expensive, but its warranty is 5X longer and lifespan is 4X+ longe .
With Speed Queen, you load the clothes in, select the temperature and type of agitation (delicate, perma press, heavy, etc.) and it fills with enough water to remove soils and smells. The tub is smaller than others, but I have a tight space. Besides, washing smaller loads gets the clothes cleaner. Most importantly, it rates 5/5 in reliability and maintenance. Less electronic glitz, less to fail.

Decided to give Speed Queen a try after my LG's motherboard went out after 4 years. Was a little bit pricier but if it lasts then it will be worth it. Doesn't have a lot of bells and whistles but I realized I didn't use half of the ones that were on my previous machine. After a month I noticed that it washes better and faster. Usually 24 minutes is all it takes to complete a wash cycle. Doesn't get out of balance when washing sheets and towels. I plan on adding the dryer when the time comes. So far an excellent machine.

1 month old, retailer (Tim's Appliance, Midland, MI won't honor 5 year warranty, has been broke 1 month after purchase (June 6th) still broke, new tranny, new Brak Kit, new belt, Friction Spring is missing, base frame is broken, needs replacement, my 3 year old Maytag was broken by TIMS Appliance and he refuses to repair and return, opened case with Speed Queen

We purchased the Speed Queen TC5 after having a Kenmore washing machine for over 30 years. We were looking for a machine that is made in the USA and that washed like our previous machine. I love this machine. It cleans clothes and seems to get more of the water out cause they dry faster and I get all the wash done sooner. I also love the extra rinse option for towels. I use to have to manually do that with our previous machine. There are two things I wish it had, one is options for load size and two I am so used to opening the lid and having the water still run. Other than those two minor things I would highly recommend if you want a machine that will last. This machine is loud so not sure you would want it in the house though. Ours is in the garage so not a problem.

Since the first time it was used the washer has made a grinding noise during the wash cycle. I could not get the dealer or speed queen to acknowledge I received a defective product and am left with no recourse except to go down the road of having a brand new machine serviced. Very disappointed in the level of customer support provided by Speed Queen given the reputation for a quality produce.

After 6 visits from the repair company to fix my other washer, I finally had enough. He told me he has never worked on a Speed Queen. So we finally bought one. No, it wasn't cheap. But nothing of quality is. The delivery guys could barely get it up the stairs to the laundry room it was so heavy. Have washed a large blanket and it doesn't even vibrate. It washes clothes. No music. Nothing fancy. So far so happy with the purchase

Made in USA quality craftsmanship and materials! Machine is heavy duty, self-leveling with simple straight forward and functional/useful settings & controls (please do not change them). This unit cleans clothes better than any other washer we've ever owned. We noticed on the first load that the clothes were cleaner and brighter from our previous agitator-less experiment non-Speed Queen machine that failed after only 4 yrs. We could not be happier with our Speed Queen! Please never stop making quality, practical machines that work! We will be getting the matching dryer when our current dryer gives out.
